Interview w/Tish (Meta Dead) of The Dead Deads

We are joined by Leticia Wolf (aka Meta Dead) from the Nashville-based rock band, The Dead Deads. Throughout the years, Meta, along with her bandmates Daisy Dead and McQueen Dead have gained much well-deserved national recognition which includes sharing the live stage with other revered artists like Seether, KISS, and Bush to name a few. Their dedicated fanbase, popularly known as The Dead Corps has also been growing for as long as they have been playing music, and it’s quite the story. Donning the X’s painted over their eyes and giving the viewers/listeners the theatrical effect provide the music they put out a creative touch to their artistry. Meta dives into those experiences and describes how amazing this has been on a near-decade-long journey, even including how the name “Meat” came into existence. We also talk about the newest upcoming album titled “Tell Your Girls It’s Alright,” and the different ideas and themes that came into play during the writing process – which involves plenty from the world’s current events. Not only that, but a single they recently released, “Murder Ballad II,” includes their collaboration with hard rock music singer-songwriter Corey Taylor. Meta talks about how the lyricism and pairing up with Corey was a perfect ingredient for the band on this record. And finally, Meta’s husband/partner-in-crime, Matt Mahaffey is a producer on this new record and we get the chance to ask her how that process went into bringing this full-length album to the surface. So many talented people involved in this episode, so please join us with Meta Dead as we unpack so much and beyond as new tunes and a new chapter on touring life is set to resume soon – And be sure to buy and stream The Dead Deads new album “Tell Your Girls It’s Alright,” set to drop August 20 via Rumble Records.
