“Dead In My Arms.” An important piece of music in the decorated catalog of deathcore stalwarts, Carnifex. During their previous tour stop in Dallas, TX, we recently caught up with drummer Shawn Cameron from the SD-based outfit. An anniversary tour for a fan’s favorite record is something that the band is grateful for, and Shawn recalls his memories of the band’s early days of the recording process for an album that defined them. Nostalgia can be a fun feeling, especially when cementing yourself as an influential group for many contemporary groups today. Shawn takes a moment to appreciate the younger bands that they have taken on the road with them during this headbanger of a tour – bands such as Spite, Oceano, Left To Suffer, and Crown Magnetar have more than placed themselves on the map for the newer generation. Adding Carnifex to the headliner slot could not have set this tour up any better. If you caught this recent tour, it was a sight to behold. Tune in now to our interview with Shawn and be sure to buy and stream “Dead In My Arms,” out now worldwide.
