Monstrous. That is the word that describes the first impression of Within The Ruins newest frontman, Steve Tinnon. As they are on the verge of releasing their 6th studio album “Black Heart”, Steve joins the IUF roster about his personal journey he has gone through to get to this point in his hard fought career. The mission statement for this new blistering pace of a record was simple : Domination. The band has done just that. Within The Ruins have had a very impressive and extensive catalog of songs, albums, and personnel to this day. But now it feels as if the stars are aligning for this technical death metal quartet, which is easier said than done during a worldwide pandemic. The challenges were there for Steve, personally and artistically – and even though each day is a fight to become a better person, this is his calling. Coming together with a group of talented musicians like Joe Cocchi, Kevin McGuill, and Paolo Galang in order form one unit full of unmatched chemistry is unlike anything Steve ever dreamed of.
