S.08 E.17 – Jeramie Kling of The Absence

interview under fire podcast s08 e17 jeramie kling of the absence

Multi-faceted drummer in Jeramie Kling is our guest today as we talk about his newest album with melodic death metal outfit, The Absence. Their 5th studio album, “Coffinized,” is set to drop this summer and Jeramie could not be more proud of the new product. Jeramie and his bandmates have stuck together and have stuck to their passion to create music throughout years, whether it’s with The Absence or any other band they play a part in. Performing in many different forms of metal subgenres have given this band a good amount of creativity to add to their catalog, and “Coffinized” is a prime example of that work. Additionally, Jeramie is a music producer and he has put out the workload on this album – which definitely gave him a sense of comfort knowing he had full control on making his record the way he and his bandmates wanted it to sound. We also get to ask him about the decisions behind choosing particular singles before the album drop, as if there was a theme which was set for “Coffinized,” and it’s quite a writing process that Jeramie takes us through. Tune into this episode now for an in-depth discussion on Jeramie’s life, behind the drum kit and beyond – and be sure to buy and stream The Absence’s latest record, “Coffinized,” due out June 25 on MTheory Audio.
