We recently caught up with Isaac Lamb, drummer from Texas’ very own hardcore favorites, Kublai Khan. In the middle of a touring cycle break, Isaac joins IUF from his home in Nashville, Tennessee, and things are setting up to be an exciting year for him and his bandmates. The new EP, titled “Lowest Form Of Animal,” serves as one of the more intense 15-minute offerings that the band has released. Isaac takes us through the draft process within the production, and how the compositions of songs differ for him from his bandmates. We also asked him about the time that movie star Kate Beckinsale shared their song on her Instagram story (WHAT?!)– which definitely turned a lot of heads in their direction. Whatever the case may be, this is Kublai Khan’s year, and with the new EP out, it’s only a matter of time that things get rolling for their next full length. And finally, Isaac takes a moment to appreciate his love for drumming, while looking back on other notable drummers in the industry who influenced him into who he is today.
