I hope you see our growth as songwriters and as a band.” Frontwoman Caitlin Henry is full of the ambition and humbleness that anyone could ever channel. We are joined by this talented vocalist from Newcastle-based rock outfit Eat Your Heart Out. It’s been one decade into this particular world for Caitlin and company, and it feels as if they have found their stride, musically and artistically. We get the opportunity to speak with Caitlin about the highly-anticipated 2nd studio album “Can’t Stay Forever,” which will tug on the heartstrings of many early 2000s pop-punk fans. Eat Your Heart Out has developed quite the chemistry between the individual musicians – blending in the sounds of Jimmy Eat World, Flyleaf, No Doubt, and Simple Plan, but with a modern twist of their own recipe. This map of creativity has made them stand out which as result, landed them on a revered label like Fearless Records. Despite lineup changes recently, Caitlin stayed focused and believes the band is destined for greater things in the near future. Take their debut album “Florescence” for example, racking up several million streams on multiple platforms around the world, and sharing the stages with other established rock exports like Knuckle Puck, Tiny Moving Parts, and Hands Like Houses. Ten years can fly by real quick when you’re building on the success mark, and still, Caitlin stays humbled and knows that all she needs to do is keep singing from the heart. And yes, we are definitely seeing a talented songwriter bloom right in front of our very own eyes, along with a drummer, bassist, and guitarist to round out the musical arsenal. Well done to Caitlin and company. Tune in now and be sure to buy and stream “Can’t Stay Forever,” dropping September 9 via Fearless Records.
